2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
10.5 ounces Ranch seasoning mix
1 ยฝ cups milk
1 cup sour cream (at room temperature)
ยฝ teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
1-Slice chicken breasts thinly (about ยฝ inch thick) and pound if needed.
2-Season chicken pieces on both sides with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
3-Brush one side of each chicken piece with melted butter.
4-Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken in batches for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside.
5-To the same skillet, add the Ranch seasoning mix, milk, sour cream, and onion powder. Stir until fully combined.
6-Bring the sauce to a gentle bubble and let it reduce for 5 minutes.
7-Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over the chicken pieces.
8-Partially cover the skillet and simmer for about 10 minutes, until chicken is heated through and has absorbed flavor.
9-Serve immediately, spooning sauce over the chicken and optionally over baked potatoes and vegetables on the side.
