– 2 teaspoons of a flavoring such as vanilla, rum, brandy, or bourbon

– 1 pound (about 3 cups) mixed berries like blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries

– 2 tablespoons melted butter

– 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar (preferably turbinado sugar)

– 1 cup heavy cream for whipped cream

– 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar for whipped cream

– a pinch of sea salt for whipped cream

– 1 teaspoon vanilla for whipped cream

– All-purpose flour

– Granulated sugar

– Cold cubed butter

Instructions

1-Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375Β°F and line baking sheet.

2-Mix berries: Mix berries with sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch.

3-Roll out dough: Roll out dough and add frangipane layer.

4-Spoon berry mixture: Spoon berry mixture onto dough, leaving a border.

5-Fold and brush: Fold and brush edges with melted butter.

6-Bake and cool: Bake for 40-45 minutes and cool before serving.
