Ingredients

– 5 cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)

– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

– 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

– 1 lemon

– ¼ cup softened butter

– ½ cup brown sugar

– ¼ cup all-purpose flour

– ¾ cup oats (regular or quick)

– ½ cup sliced almonds (optional)

– ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

1-First Step: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Rinse and drain 5 cups of fresh or frozen blueberries if needed, then pat them dry.

2-Second Step: Grate the rind from the lemon and squeeze juice from half of it. In a bowl, toss the blueberries with 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, the grated lemon rind, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 3 tablespoons flour until everything is evenly coated. Transfer this mixture to a 2-quart baking dish.

3-Third Step: In another bowl, combine ¼ cup softened butter, ½ cup brown sugar, ¾ cup oats, ¼ cup flour, ½ cup sliced almonds (if using), and ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon. Use a fork to mix until it gets crumbly that’s the fun part!

4-Fourth Step: Sprinkle the crumbly topping evenly over the blueberry mixture in the baking dish.

5-Final Step: Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping turns golden brown and the filling bubbles up. Let it cool slightly before serving warm it’s delicious and loved by everyone!
