Ingredients

– 1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed

– 2 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2-In a medium bowl: sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder.

3-In a large bowl or stand mixer: cream together the brown sugar and butter until smooth.

4-Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

5-Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined, avoiding overmixing.

6-Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips using a wooden spoon or spatula.

7-Shape the dough into two logs on the baking sheet, each about 12-13 inches long and 3 inches wide, and press down gently with your hands to form.

8-Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden.

9-Reduce the oven temperature to 300ยฐF and allow the logs to cool for 10 minutes.

10-Use a serrated knife to slice the logs into 1.5-inch pieces.

11-Return the slices to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes per side, or longer if you prefer extra crunch.
