Ingredients

– 24 ounces marinara sauce

– 3-4 cloves garlic cloves, minced

– black pepper to taste

Instructions

1-Pat the 1ยพ pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts dry and season them generously with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.

2-Heat olive oil or avocado oil as needed in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat, then sear the chicken for 2-4 minutes per side until it turns golden brown.

3-While the chicken sears, mix 1 cup of ricotta cheese with 3-4 minced garlic cloves and 1ยฝ teaspoons of Italian seasoning in a bowl to create a smooth topping.

4-Pour 24 ounces of marinara sauce around the seared chicken in the skillet, making sure not to cover the chicken directly, then top each breast evenly with the ricotta mixture.

5-Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ยฐF (74ยฐC) and the ricotta topping is golden and bubbly.

6-Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley as needed before serving for a pop of color and freshness.
