Instructions
1-First, preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9Γ13 inch baking dish. Cut the croissants into bite-sized pieces and layer them in the dish for an even base.
2-Whisking the Mixture: In a bowl, whisk the 9 whole eggs and 3 egg whites with Β½ cup of 2% milk, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, and Β½ teaspoon of garlic powder until smooth. Fold in half of the shredded Gruyere and sharp cheddar cheese along with the chopped bacon.
3-Arrange the halved croissants in a lightly oiled 9Γ13 inch casserole dish, pour the egg mixture over them evenly, and top with the rest of the cheese.
4-Cover with foil and bake at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for about 35 minutes until the eggs are fully cooked.
5-Once itβs done, garnish with fresh chopped chives for a pop of color and flavor.
6-Let it cool slightly before serving to help it set, serving 6 to 8 people with ease.
