๐Ÿช Indulge in Dulce de Leche Cookies with a rich caramel flavor that delights the senses.
๐Ÿฅ„ This recipe offers soft, buttery cookies filled with creamy dulce de leche, perfect for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: Varies

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter, softened (226 grams)

1/2 cup confectionerโ€™s sugar (62.5 grams)

2 egg yolks

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (318.9 grams)

1/2 cup granulated sugar for rolling cookies

1 14 oz. can condensed milk or 1/2 cup store-bought dulce de leche for filling

Instructions

1-First, in an electric mixer bowl, cream the softened butter for 2 minutes until it’s light and fluffy. This step builds the base for that perfect cookie texture. Then, add the confectionerโ€™s sugar and cream for another minute to mix it in well.

2-Next, add the egg yolks one at a time, making sure each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Follow that by mixing in the vanilla extract for extra flavor. Now, add the salt and flour, and stir with a spatula to combine the dough into a smooth ball.

3-Shaping and Baking Steps Use a cookie scoop to form dough balls, then roll them between your hands to smooth them out. Roll each ball in granulated sugar and place them on a baking sheet. Make an indentation on each ball using the back of a 1/2 teaspoon or 1/4 teaspoon measure.

4-Chill the cookie tray in the fridge or freezer for 15 minutes to firm up the butter this helps the cookies keep their shape. Preheat your oven to 350 Fahrenheit, then pipe or spoon dulce de leche into each indentation. Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges are slightly browned, and let them cool before serving.
