1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 1/2 to 4 cups (420480 grams) all-purpose flour, plus more as needed

Vegetable oil for frying (enough to fill about one-third of the pot)

1 1/2 cups (180 grams) confectioners’ sugar, sifted

3 to 4 tablespoons (4560 ml) heavy cream, half-and-half, or whole milk

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
