Instructions

1-Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2-Prepare pan: Spray an 8ร—8 pan with nonstick spray or line with foil or parchment paper (glass baking dish preferred).

3-Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the strawberry cake mix, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract until combined.

4-Press batter: Press the batter into the prepared pan.

5-Bake: Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, until just cooked through to get a dense brownie texture.

6-Cool brownies: Allow brownies to cool completely before frosting.

7-Make frosting: To make frosting, whisk powdered sugar, strawberry preserves, milk, and cream cheese (optional) in a small bowl until thick.
