๐Ÿ– Tender and flavorful ribs ready in just minutes thanks to the Instant Pot pressure cooking method.
โฑ๏ธ Perfect for busy days when you want slow-cooked taste without the wait time.

  • Total Time: 50 to 60 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 to 2 racks of pork ribs

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 cup of water

1/2 cup of apple juice

1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon of liquid smoke for added flavor

1 cup of barbecue sauce for coating

Instructions

1-First, prepare the ribs by removing the membrane if desired for better tenderness, then season them with 1 teaspoon each of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and chili powder. This seasoning mix adds depth and keeps things simple yet delicious. Next, place a wire trivet inside the Instant Pot and add the liquids: 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of apple juice or 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, and optionally 1 teaspoon of liquid smoke for extra flavor.

2-Arrange the ribs upright on the trivet with the meat side facing outward to ensure even cooking. Set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 25 minutes, then follow with a 15-minute natural pressure release before doing a quick release. Once done, carefully remove the ribs and coat them with 1 cup of barbecue sauce for that sticky, irresistible finish.

3-Optionally, broil the ribs for 2 to 3 minutes to caramelize the sauce and add a nice char. This step brings everything together, making your meal not just tasty but also visually appealing. With the total time being about 50 minutes to 1 hour, you’ll have a hot, homemade dish ready quickly.
