Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– Β½ cup panko breadcrumbs

– 1 egg

– 5 cloves garlic minced

– 3 green onions thinly sliced

– 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water for the cornstarch slurry

– Β½ cup mayonnaise

– 1 tsp gochujang

– 1 tsp sesame oil

– Juice of half a lime

Instructions

1-Gather and prepare all ingredients, including chopping garlic and green onions, and mixing sauces.

2-In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, grated ginger, and the egg. Mix until well incorporated, then shape into evenly sized meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.

3-Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet or fry them directly; for this recipe, fry on medium heat for 12-15 minutes until fully cooked.

4-In the same pan, add ΒΌ cup soy sauce, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp gochujang, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, and 1 tsp sesame oil; stir and simmer, then add the cornstarch slurry to thicken.

5-Turn off the heat, add the meatballs to the sauce, and coat them thoroughly.

6-In a separate bowl, mix Β½ cup mayonnaise, 1 tsp gochujang, 1 tsp sesame oil, and the juice of half a lime to make the spicy sesame mayo.

7-Serve the meatballs with the spicy sesame mayo, sprinkled with extra green onions and sesame seeds, alongside your choice of sides. Prep time is about 10 minutes, and cooking time is 20 minutes, for a total of 30 minutes.
