๐Ÿฌ Brighten your day with colorful M&Mโ€™s filled macarons that offer both fun and flavor.
๐Ÿซ These French cookies combine crisp shells with a rich chocolate candy buttercream for a delightful treat.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 40 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 20 macarons

Ingredients

– 100 grams egg whites

– 100 grams white granulated sugar

– 105 grams almond flour

– 105 grams powdered sugar

– Food coloring (optional)

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)

– 1.5 cups powdered sugar

– 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

– 1/4 cup powdered candies (such as M&Mโ€™s)

– 2-4 tablespoons milk

Instructions

1-Preparation: First, prepare your workspace and ingredients by sifting almond flour and powdered sugar to remove clumps and lighten the mixture. Whip egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add granulated sugar while beating until stiff, glossy peaks form. Gently fold the sifted dry ingredients into the meringue, being careful to maintain the airiness for proper macaron texture.

2-Piping and Resting: Next, transfer the batter into a piping bag and pipe evenly sized rounds onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Tap the baking sheet gently to release air bubbles, then allow piped shells to rest at room temperature until a skin forms, about 30-60 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 150ยฐC (300ยฐF) for 15-18 minutes, adjusting as needed for your oven.

3-Cooling and Filling: Once baked, cool the macarons completely before adding the filling. For the buttercream, process the candies into a fine powder, then mix with butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and milk to reach the right consistency. Pipe the buttercream onto one shell and sandwich with another, then chill for 24 hours. This step ensures the flavors blend, making your Mms Macarons even better.
