Ingredients

– 3/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup 2% milk

– 1/2 cup canola oil (or vegetable or coconut oil)

– 1 large egg

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 2 cups diced fresh peaches

– 2 cups powdered sugar

– 2 tablespoons melted butter

– 1/3 cup finely diced peaches (peeled and drained)

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 to 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk (optional)

Instructions

1-Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).

2-Mix wet ingredients: In a medium bowl, stir together granulated sugar, milk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract.

3-Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

4-Fold in peaches: Gently fold the 2 cups diced peaches into the batter.

5-Bake: Pour batter into a greased 9ร—5-inch loaf pan. Bake for 55 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6-Cool bread: Cool bread in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

7-Prepare glaze: For the glaze: Combine powdered sugar, melted butter, 1/3 cup diced peaches, and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Mix until smooth. Add heavy cream or milk 1 tablespoon at a time to achieve drizzle consistency.

8-Glaze and serve: Once bread is fully cooled, spread glaze over the top. Slice and serve.

9-Store: Store glazed bread in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
