πŸ“ Delight in a luscious Raspberry Cheesecake French Toast Casserole that’s perfect for a memorable breakfast treat.
πŸ₯ž This recipe combines creamy cheesecake and fresh raspberries with fluffy French bread for a rich yet comforting flavor experience.

  • Total Time: About 1 day and 1 hour
  • Yield: 9-12 servings

Ingredients

– 12 cups cubed French bread (about one large loaf)

– 2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries

– 8 ounces softened cream cheese

– 1/3 cup sugar for mixing with cream cheese

– 10 eggs

– 1 2/3 cups milk

– 1/2 cup sugar for the custard mixture

– 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

1-Grease a 9Γ—13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking, then layer half of the 12 cups of cubed French bread evenly in the pan.

2-Mix 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with 1/3 cup of sugar until smooth, and spread dollops of this mixture over the bread along with 2 cups of fresh or frozen raspberries.

3-Add the remaining bread cubes, more raspberries, and the rest of the cream cheese mixture on top for a tasty layered effect.

4-In a large bowl, whisk together 10 eggs, 1 2/3 cups of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla until fully combined.

5-Pour the custard over the layers, pressing the bread cubes down to soak up the liquid, then cover and refrigerate overnight.

6-The next day, bake uncovered at 350Β°F for 45-50 minutes until it’s golden brown and cooked through.

7-Let it cool for a bit before serving, and top with powdered sugar or maple syrup if you like.

Notes

πŸ›Œ Refrigerate casserole overnight for the best flavor and texture as it allows the bread to fully absorb the custard.
🍞 Use brioche, challah, or French bread for a soft and rich texture.
πŸ“ Swap raspberries with blueberries or strawberries for a tasty variation or use half and half or heavy cream instead of milk for a creamier custard.
