– 1 pound (about 450 grams) breakfast sausage
– 8 ounces (approximately 225 grams) softened block cream cheese
– 1 can diced tomatoes and green chiles (drained well)
– 1 1/2 cups (around 180 grams) baking mix such as Bisquick
– 2 cups (about 225 grams) Mexican blend shredded cheese
Instructions
1-Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204 degrees Celsius) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
2-In a large bowl: In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the breakfast sausage, softened cream cheese, drained diced tomatoes and green chiles, baking mix, and Mexican blend shredded cheese using your hands or an electric mixer with a dough hook.
3-Shape the mixture: Shape the mixture into 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
4-Bake: Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the balls are nicely browned.
5-If baking from frozen: increase the cooking time by about two minutes.
