  • Total Time: 41 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

– 6 tablespoons butter (no substitutions)

– 1 and 1/2 cups self-rising flour

– 1 and 1/2 cups sugar

– 3/4 cup milk

– 1 teaspoon flavoring (often vanilla)

– 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon

– 1 and 1/2 cups brown sugar

– 1 and 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions

1-Getting started: with Snickerdoodle Cobbler is straightforward and fun. First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and melt 6 tablespoons of butter directly in a 9Γ—13-inch pan for that rich base.

2-In a mixing bowl, combine 1 and 1/2 cups self-rising flour, 1 and 1/2 cups sugar, 3/4 cup milk, 1 teaspoon flavoring, and 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon just stir until mixed, but don’t over-mix to keep it light.

3-Next, pour the batter over the melted butter in the pan.

4-Then, sprinkle 1 and 1/2 cups brown sugar evenly on top.

5-Carefully add 1 and 1/2 cups hot water over everything without stirring this creates the magical caramel sauce as it bakes.

6-Pop it in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until it’s golden brown and bubbly.

7-Once it’s done, let it cool a bit before digging in.
