Instructions
1-How to Prepare the Perfect Spinach Dip: Getting this spinach dip right is easier than you think, and it only takes about 10 minutes to prepare plus 20 minutes of cooking, totaling around 30 minutes. Start by steaming or sautéing the 10 ounces of fresh spinach leaves until they’re wilted, then let them cool and wring out all the excess water before chopping coarsely. This step ensures the dip doesn’t end up too watery, keeping that creamy texture intact.
2-Mixing the Ingredients: Next, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and coat a small baking dish or skillet with cooking spray. In a bowl, combine the 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, the cooked spinach, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese, and 3/4 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Stir everything until it’s well mixed, then spread the mixture into your prepared dish and top it with the remaining 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese.
3-Baking the Dip: Bake for 20 minutes or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese has melted. Switch the oven to broil and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese starts to brown. Finally, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley and serve it warm with bread, crackers, and vegetables. For a personal touch, I’ve added extras like artichoke hearts in mine, and it always gets compliments at parties.
