🦐 This Stuffed Seafood Bread Bowl delivers creamy coastal flavors combined with tender shrimp, scallops, and crab in a crusty artisan bread.
🍞 It’s a visually impressive and satisfying dish perfect for seafood lovers seeking a comforting yet elegant meal.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 large crusty bread bowl (sourdough or artisan round)

½ pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

½ cup crab meat

½ cup scallops

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 shallot, finely chopped

½ cup heavy cream

2 ounces cream cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1-Preheat oven and prepare bread: First, heat the oven to 375°F and prepare the bread by cutting off the top and hollowing out the center. Toast it for 8 to 10 minutes to keep it from getting soggy later. This step helps the bread hold up to the creamy filling.

2-Cook seafood and aromatics: Next, in a skillet, melt the 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat and cook the 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1 finely chopped shallot until they’re fragrant. Add the ½ pound of peeled and deveined shrimp and ½ cup of scallops, stirring until they’re just opaque, then mix in the ½ cup of crab meat to warm it through.

3-Prepare creamy seafood mixture: Reduce the heat and stir in the ½ cup of heavy cream, 2 ounces of cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste until everything blends into a smooth mixture. Add half of the ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese and half of the ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese for extra creaminess.

4-Fill and bake bread bowl: Fill the toasted bread bowl with this seafood mix and top with the remaining ⅛ cup of grated Parmesan cheese and ¼ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake it on a sheet for 12 to 15 minutes until it’s golden and bubbly, then garnish with the 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley before serving.
