Ingredients

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 12 ounces chili sauce (regular recommended; sweet chili sauce can be used but changes flavor)

– 1 1/2 cups grape jelly (can substitute apricot jam or cranberry sauce)

– 2 tablespoons parsley for garnish

– Cooking spray

Instructions

1-Preheat the broiler: Preheat the broiler and line a sheet pan with foil, then coat it with cooking spray.

2-In a large bowl: combine 2 pounds ground beef, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup finely diced onion, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.

3-Shape the mixture: Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared pan.

4-Broil the meatballs: Broil the meatballs for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

5-Melt 1 1/2 cups grape jelly: Melt 1 1/2 cups grape jelly in 30-second increments in the microwave or in a saucepan over medium heat.

6-Whisk 12 ounces chili sauce: Whisk 12 ounces chili sauce into the melted jelly.

7-Coat a slow cooker: Coat a slow cooker with cooking spray, add the meatballs, and pour the sauce over them, tossing to coat.

8-Cook on low: Cook on low for 3 hours.

9-Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons parsley: Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons parsley and serve.
