Ingredients

– 1 pound ground beef The heart of the recipe, providing savory protein

– 36 wonton wrappers Forms the base, baking into a chewy, crispy shell

– 1 can (16 oz) refried beans Layers in creaminess and extra protein

– 36 tortilla chips Crushed for added crunch in every bite

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Melts beautifully for gooey goodness

– sour cream Optional topping

– diced tomatoes Optional topping

Instructions

1-First: preheat the oven to 375ยฐF and spray 18 muffin cups with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

2-Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, drain the fat, then add the taco seasoning mix and 2/3 cup water. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until the flavors meld, and set aside for layering.

3-Place one wonton wrapper in each muffin cup as the base.

4-Add about 1 tablespoon of refried beans on top of the wrapper.

5-Crush one tortilla chip over the beans for texture, then spoon in 1 tablespoon of the seasoned taco meat.

6-Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese on that layer.

7-Repeat the process with another wonton wrapper, beans, crushed chip, meat, and cheese to build up the cupcakes.

8-Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown, then remove from the tin and top with optional items like sour cream or diced tomatoes.
